So says, until recently, Supreme Court Justice Barbara Jackson : Dallas stated that the party had spent $350K on Justice Edmunds race and his only regret was spending anything at all. Hmmmm. *Nice.* What's the point of even having a party if you're not going to fight the opposition or...

The “Conservative” policy is not to spend your money on schemes that are not financially or operationally viable, as is the case with wind and solar. They simply cannot stand on their own and must have taxpayer dollars to survive. The taxpayers have supported these ‘alternatives’ for years and if they cannot survive on their own, then they need to go out of business like any other business. It is not the next generation’s problem unless we continue to make the taxpayers subsidize an industry that is no yet ready for prime time. Fossil fuels are cheap and plenty, so there is no longer an argument of necessity for these ‘alternatives’ which are anything but acceptable alternatives. Let me know when I can run my car on wind or solar! |

The letter simply asked for information, and that is why I, and many others, supported it. Thats what we should be doing, asking questions to get answers that the public requests. |

Thom Tillis has one vote. There are 119 other Representatives who have votes that count, along with 50 Senators. 61 votes in the House and 26 in the Senate will be required to enact any legislation, so the jury is still out regarding what will happen. Don’t get wrapped up on the comments of one Representative, even if he is the Speaker. He still has only one vote. |

Ed Goodwin won because he got out and campaigned. He is a personable individual with an excellent background and personality. He came to a candidate forum here in Eastern NC and won over the majority (if not all) of the attendees at the event. He comes across as someone who knows what he is talking about, and one who is genuine and will do what he says. Most of us here in the East have no idea who Wayne Goodman is or that he is the current Insurance Commissioner. |

Rep Larry Pittman is a man of unswerving principles and a dedication to serving the citizens of his district within the Constitutional framework. Rep Pittman has been an ally of mine in getting several bills through the General Assembly, and as a fellow Representative, I ask the folks of his District to send him back to Raleigh as there is much more work to be done on behalf of those that we represent.
